  • Leírás: An open-hearted butcher on Athinas Street, Diamantis Karanampasis, decides to buy the penthouse in a eight-storey apartment building in Kolonaki, provoking protests from some of its stuck-up tenants. The latter, headed by the Aspromallis couple – both Foreign Ministry employees – and the de la Sibelas (fallen aristocrats), resort to indescribable pettiness. However, another tenant, a retired general and hero of the Albanian front Stefanos Koutsomitros, who owes his life to soldier Diamantis, makes them realize that Diamantis is no devil and they themselves have acted badly. Thus, the butcher and his family are accepted in the apartment building, while, at the same time Karanampasis’ son and Koutsomitros’ daughter fall in love with each other, unbeknownst to their parents.
